How did the internet originate?
First computers had no memory, instead they had punch cards, theses cards had holes in them with had codes and were feed into the computer. Once you turned off the computer everything was lost.
Then there was magnetic tape, then floppy disc, then hard drive,

DARPA lead to ARPANET: to speed up internet access and one copy everyone can access. RAND corp developed a military. NPL business. CYCLANDES is a scientific network

What is an IP packet? What is it comprised of?
Packet switching, it was send down in little packs (parts) and then it gets put together again. They don’t all travel in the same path.

What does TCP stand for? How does TCP deal with lost IP packets?
TCP- control; protocol transmission, if a piece of the pack goes missing then, they send that piece (of information) again.
